London outfit Child Star capture the feeling that it’s okay to be pathetically in love. Combining luscious guitar sounds, strutting bass groves and spellbinding vocals, Child Star take inspiration from Charli XCX and Men I Trust, while still harbouring a love of Fleetwood Mac.

 

Songwriter Ondrej Novotny was dead set on the band name Child Star even before collaborating with vocalist Julia Moreau who fortuitously happened to be an actual child star, having featured in a couple of major Swedish horror movies.
